🌹 Remembrance Sunday 🌹
Today; PC Stone, PC Cutt and PCSO Hancock stood proudly alongside our community to honour and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during the First and Second World Wars, and all those who have served and continue to serve our country.
Once again the community of Shirebrook came out in large numbers to pay their respects. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in today’s Remembrance parade and service. Your presence and support show the strength and spirit of the community of Shirebrook.
Remembrance Day is a time for reflection — a moment to pause and pay tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom, and to think of those who continue to serve with courage and dedication.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
